Product Overview

Expandable Polystyrene EPS Grade F2000 is an advanced, high-performance expandable resin engineered with modern polymerization technology and supplied by MizanPetroGas Company. Featuring an ultra-low target density range (12–14 kg/m³) and a high expansion yield (50 to 95 times its bead volume), F2000 provides converting plants with reliable block stability, uniform cell fusion, and high yield efficiency for construction, insulation, and protective packaging.

A key technical feature of F2000 is its advanced Non-HBCD polymeric flame-retardant chemistry. This formulation replaces restricted hexabromocyclododecane compounds, ensuring strict environmental and toxicological compliance with international regulatory standards such as the Stockholm Convention and EU REACH Annex XIV.

The closed-cell microcellular structure provides high thermal insulation (low thermal conductivity $\lambda$), acoustic damping, and mechanical load absorption at low bulk density. Key industrial applications include technical and protective packaging, building thermal insulation and cold-storage panels, architectural shapes and CNC modeling, and lightweight structural civil blocks (Geofoam).

Processing Stages & Storage Conditions

Processing Steps: Continuous pre-expansion with saturated steam at 90–100°C → Maturation and stabilization aging (12 to 24 hours in ventilated silos) → Steam block or shape molding under 0.8–1.2 bar pressure → Ambient curing and drying (24 to 48 hours) → Precision hot-wire or CNC profile cutting.

Storage Recommendations:

  • Warehouse Temperature: Maintain ambient storage between 15°C and 25°C, away from direct solar radiation and localized heating elements.
  • Relative Humidity: Below 65% in a well-ventilated, spark-free dry warehouse.
  • Stacking Configuration: Maximum 3 jumbo bags high; maintain at least 50 cm clearance from surrounding warehouse walls.
  • Safety Precautions: Store strictly isolated from organic solvents, volatile hydrocarbons, ignition sparks, and open flame zones.
